Free Milk distribution Project

Under this project Ashrama is serving approx. 100 poor living near about Ashrama with 250ml milk, one banana and one packet of biscuits everyday (5 pm. To 6 pm). Beneficiaries covers three groups; Children up to the age 6 year, Pregnant mothers and Nursing mothers. Activity started on 13th December 2009 with a list of 20 beneficiaries and today(28th January 2010) we have 138 enrolled beneficiaries.

Free Distribution of Educational Material

In order to help poor students by way of meeting the cost of books, uniform,tution fees, etc. a permanent fund is being created so that the interest realized from the cropus fund can be utilized for giving help to the students particularly those who, because of poverty, are not able to pursue their study. Educational kits containg notebooks, pencil and other stationary items are distributed among poor students occasionally.

 

 

Relief And Rehabilitation

Whenever there is a disaster like flood, drought, cyclone, earthquate etc. anywhere, the monks and volunteers of Ramakrishna Mission rush to the affected areas and start primary relief work immediately for the poor and needy sections of society, which is sometimes followed by rehabilitation work like construction of houses, schools, community centers, water tanks etc. Extensive relief work was carried out by this Center for the flood affected people of Vadodara and Surat districts when there were heavy rains and subsequent floods during the last two years Food packets, food grains, utensils, tarpaulin sheets, blankets etc. costing approx Rs. 50 lakh were distributed.

Gujarat Flood Relief Work 2017

Following items were distributed among 3,657 flood affected families of 60 villages of Banaskantha and Patan districts of Gujarat during August, 2017.
1. 50 hand carts.

2. 1,000 educational kits among students of 4th to 8th std. each containing following items. 1 qty. School Bag, 1 qty. Compass Box, 5 qty. Note Book, 1 Pictorial Story Book Set of Shree Ramakrishna, Shree Maa Sharda Devi and Swami Vivekananda for Children, 1 qty. Message of Swami Vivekananda, 1 qty. Swami Vivekananda’s Poster, 1 qty. Feel Colors, 1 qty. Key Chains, 1 qty. Locket, 1 qty. Plastic Photo, 1 qty. Swadesh Mantra, 1 box Crayon Colors, 2 qty. Pen, 2 qty. Pencil and 1 qty. Shaktidayi Vichar.

3. 700 educational kits among students of 1st to 3rd std. each kit containing the following items. 1 qty. School Bag, 1 qty. Slate, 1 qty. Alphabet Slate, 1 qty. Pencil, 1 qty. Pen, 1 qty. Feel Colors, 1 box Crayon Colors, 1 qty. Sharpener, 1 qty. Eraser, 1 qty. Scale, 1 qty. Pencil Case and 1 box Slate Pencil.

4. 721 kits of food grains and essential items each kit containing the following items. 10 kg. Rice, 3 kg. Mung Dal, 1 kg. Salt, 1 kg. Oil, 1 kg. Sugar, 100 gm. Tea, 10 kg. Wheat Flour, 200 gm. Chili Powder, 100 gm. Turmeric Powder, 100 gm. Dhaniya Powder, 500 gm. Gram, 500 gm. Milk Powder, 12 qty. Candle Light, 1 small Match Box, 500 gm. Mix Farsan, 3 small pct. Parle-G Biscuit and 1 qty. Tarpaulin.

5. 567 kits of food grain and essential items, each containing the following items. 2 kg. Rice, 500 gm. Tuver Dal, 500 gm. Oil, 2.5 kg. Wheat Flour, 2.5 kg. Bajari Flour, 500 gm. Juvar Flour, 1 pct. Parle-G Biscuit, 1 qty. Steel Thali, 1 qty. Steel Wati, 1 qty. Steel Glass and 1 pct. Namkin.

6. 450 kits of food grain and essential items, each containing the following items. 1 kg. Rice, 250 gm. Tuver Dal, 50 gm. Masala.

7. 450 kits of food grain and essential items, each containing the following items. 500 gm. Rice, 250 gm. Mung Dal, 50 gm. Masala.

8. Approx 25,000 assorted clothes.
